Tinubu, Govs Set October 1 Target For Cheaper Transport Fares

The Federal Government and state governors have agreed to pursue lower transportation fares nationwide from October 1, 2026. A joint committee will develop measures using compressed natural gas and electric vehicles, with the policy aimed at reducing transport operating costs and easing pressure on commuters and the broader economy.
