NDIC Begins Payment Of Depositors Of 46 Failed MFBs

The Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation has begun paying depositors of 46 microfinance banks whose licenses were revoked by the Central Bank of Nigeria. NDIC also said it has settled 700,000 customers of the defunct Heritage Bank, highlighting ongoing deposit-protection and banking-sector resolution activity.
