National sugar council targets annual 835,000 tonnes production to end imports

The National Sugar Development Council has unveiled 10 greenfield projects targeting annual production of 835,000 metric tonnes of sugar, with the stated aim of ending sugar imports. The initiative concerns Nigeria’s sugar industry and is relevant to listed consumer goods company DANGSUGAR.
