N17trn pension funds go into FG securities, PenCom raises alarm

Pension Fund Administrators invested about N17.1 trillion, representing 58.07% of the pension industry’s N29.5 trillion net asset value in the first quarter of 2026, in Federal Government securities. PenCom warned that the concentration of pension assets in government instruments could raise investment-related concerns.
