Low productivity, market gaps trap farmers in poverty — Experts

Industry experts said Nigerian farmers remain vulnerable to poverty because of low productivity and supply-chain inefficiencies that can result in smallholders losing up to 60 per cent of their produce. The comments were made at a climate-smart agriculture dialogue focused on sector challenges.
