Lagos overtakes oil states as top FAAC earner with N365.78 billion

Nigeria’s states received higher Federation Account allocations in the first half of 2026, supported by statutory revenue, VAT, derivation revenue, the Electronic Money Transfer Levy and other streams. Lagos ranked as the leading recipient, receiving N365.78 billion during the period.
