Govt Targets Poverty, Economic Shocks With Stronger Social Protection

The federal government has announced measures to strengthen Nigeria’s social protection system and help vulnerable households manage poverty, economic shocks, displacement and related socio-economic challenges. The initiative was disclosed by the permanent secretary of the Federal Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development at a pre-summit in Jalingo, Taraba State.
