Finance Ministry orders review of NAICOM’s N680 million recapitalisation fees on two insurers

The Federal Ministry of Finance has directed NAICOM to justify N680 million in recapitalisation-related charges imposed on NICON Insurance and Nigeria Reinsurance Corporation. Enforcement of the fees has been suspended pending resolution of a petition by the companies, creating a regulatory development for Nigeria’s insurance industry.
