FG plans telecoms coverage for riverine communities by 2027

The Federal Government plans to extend telecoms coverage to all riverine communities by mid-2027. The initiative is intended to improve connectivity, support economic activity and expand digital inclusion, with potential relevance to Nigeria’s listed telecommunications and ICT companies, including Airtel Africa and MTN Nigeria.
