E-payment transaction volume falls 9.2%, value rises to N1,053trn

Electronic payment transaction value increased 2.85% year on year to N1.053 quadrillion in Q1 2026, while transaction volume declined 9.2%. POS transaction value fell to N59.3 trillion, whereas ATM transaction value rose 64.6% to N26.3 trillion, reflecting changing usage across payment channels.
