Drug regulation under threat as Lagos pharmacists decry manpower crisis

The Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria’s Lagos branch warned that drug regulation in the state is weakening because of shortages of pharmacists in regulatory roles and the prolonged absence of a fully inaugurated governing council. The concerns relate to oversight of dangerous medicines and healthcare-sector regulation.
