Dangote Refinery drives 767% surge in Nigeria’s petroleum exports to Europe

Nigeria’s seaborne refined petroleum exports to Europe rose to about 130,000 barrels per day in the second quarter of 2026, from 15,000 barrels per day in 2023. The increase was attributed to higher output from the Dangote refinery, which is reshaping Nigeria’s petroleum trade.
