CPPE urges NMDPRA to tie petrol imports to verified supply gaps

The Centre for the Promotion of Private Enterprise has urged the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority to approve petrol imports only where transparent evidence confirms supply gaps. It said unrestricted imports could weaken domestic refining investment and reduce foreign-exchange conservation efforts.
