CBN reverses OMO restriction, opens market to local investors

The Central Bank of Nigeria has reversed restrictions introduced in 2019 on local investors’ access to Open Market Operations instruments. The policy change reopens the OMO market to domestic participants, following earlier efforts to ease naira pressure, increase real-sector lending and reduce interest rates.
