BAT cuts 9,000 jobs globally in major cost-cutting restructuring drive

British American Tobacco is cutting approximately 9,000 jobs globally, representing about one-fifth of its total workforce of 47,000. The major restructuring drive aims to significantly reduce costs across the group's global operations.
