Airtel Africa doubles Nigeria investment, earmarks $1.1bn for expansion

Airtel Africa plans to increase capital investment in Nigeria as part of a broader $1.1 billion programme covering network expansion, data capacity, fibre infrastructure, spectrum and emerging technologies. The company also identified power shortages and vandalism as risks to telecoms investment and infrastructure in the country.
